Linguis
Western Wireless Communications / Cellular One

Created two 30-second spots promoting holiday specials for Western Wireless Communications, Cellular One. The spot's concept was a joint effort between Bowes & Associates and Seattle-based advertising agency Linguis. Bowes & Associates designed and built the full size set of a living room on Christmas morning, complete with a fireplace and decked out tree, as well as the three main stop-motion characters for the ads. The foam rubber latex characters, "Missy", a rag doll with attitude, "Norbert, a nerdy jack-in-the-box, and a stoical wooden soldier, were all built to scale as though they were actual toys left by Santa. Post-production was completed at Northwest Imaging & FX and sound was done at Airwaves Sound Design, both in Vancouver, BC.

Bowes Productions & Morning Star Media to co-produce new TV Special

Bowes Productions is pleased to announce that they are co-producing a new half-hour television stop-motion animation special, Pockets Full of Rocks with Utah-based Morning Star Media. Pockets Full of Rocks is the charming story of Malcolm Tent, a mild-mannered young man who must learn how to look at the good all around him. Fed up after a particularly bad day at work, Malcolm picks up a rock and carries it in his pocket to remind him of how terrible his boss had been to him. He's had enough with all this "forgive and forget"' business. Before long, he has accumulated so many rocks that his pockets, and indeed his whole house and life, are filled with reminders and grudges. Until one day, an encounter with a geology professor gives Malcolm an idea…and a new way to look at life that won't weigh him down with pockets full of rocks.
